EUBC 2009 – CUS ottavo

Finisce con un’altra sconfitta la settimana europea degli universitari del Cus Genova. Oggi contro Salonicco sfuma anche la settima posizione perché i greci sono spietati, il 114-79 finale lascia purtroppo poche recriminazioni. Malgrado ciò il bilancio finale è soddisfacente, certo le vittorie sono 2 e le sconfitte 4, ma credo che giocare un torneo internazionale contro squadre di così tanti paesi sia un’esperienza rara e arrivare a metà classifica, alla prima partecipazione, non è male davvero.
Vedremo poi i commenti dei protagonisti al rientro.
Per quanto riguarda la classifica finale, nel tabellone maschile una finale equilibrata ha visto prevalere Lubiana (già vincenti nel 2004) sui russi del San Pietroburgo, mentre al terzo posto ci sono i turchi del Bahcesehir che superano in volata i ciprioti della Frederick che avevano eliminato i nostri. Nel campionato femminile la spunta per il secondo anno di fila l’Università Agraria Statale Russa, battendo Amsterdam, mentre Colonia superava Lodz per il bronzo.
Appuntamento all’anno prossimo a Poznan in Polonia, dove però dovrebbe partecipare il Cus Bologna che ha vinto il CNU quest’anno.
